HARD PACK is a new type of ski magazine that combines edgy reportage with cerebral writing to create a new lexicon for the sport that is weird, philosophical, and dangerously fun.

Through historical inquiry, far-off reportage, sublime imagery, and reflective essays, HARD PACK's inaugural issue expands and questions the boundaries of the sport of skiing from the past to current day.

The latest issue is Hard Pack's largest, making up for lost time after missing their winter publishing target. Now on the edge of summer, this magazine invites readers to retain ‘a mind of winter.’

Find inside stories of utopian mountain towns designed by architect Charlotte Perriand, the hubris of artificial snow in the age of global warming, and the ski records and photography of legendary ski jumper Leo Gasperl.
