Fantastic Man is a biannual print magazine since 2005, founded in Amsterdam by Gert Jonkers and Jop van Bennekom.
An award-winning publication, made by an international group of esteemed contributors and featuring the most stellar subjects season upon season, Fantastic Man is full of frank conversation, insightful reportage, eager observation, great style, glorious photography and an invariably sharp focus on men, menswear, art and culture today.
Fantastic Man #40
Fantastic Man turns 40! To celebrate, they've put together a satisfyingly chunky landmark issue, marking two decades in print with a veritable cast of Fantastic Men:
‘Oscar-winner Adrien Brody, young painter Rocco Ritchie, dazzling image-maker Mark Borthwick, nude boxer Luke Gersbeck, enigmatic artist Ed Atkins, tennis prodigy Carlos Alcaraz, hot designer Haider Ackermann, chatty playwright Jeremy O. Harris, handsome photographer Roe Ethridge... and—bringing it full circle—the person who starred on the cover of Fantastic Man number one, the inimitable Rupert Everett.’
But the highlight is surely a feature on our friends over at CASA Magazines in New York. Mohammed, Ali and young Ayan decked out in designer-wear amongst their piles of magazines makes for a brilliant shoot. Plus: a selection of hot tips for the summer, and a mini magazine of twenty reimagined Fantastic Man covers, bringing together a mix of cover stars from issues past.
