Adbusters is a bi-monthly, Canadian, anti-capitalist magazine devoted to challenging consumerism. They've been publishing since 1989, building up their collective of artists, designers, writers, musicians, poets, punks, and philosophers. 

AB 162: The Woobbly issue

The post-truth era — the culmination of centuries of soulless hyperlogic — has, on the one hand, brought upon us total political breakdown. On the other, widespread psychological decay.

And so the choice before us is stark. Either the suicidal straight-line mode of thinking prevails — or we come up with a wobbly new sensibility for the 21st century. Either we witness the rebirth of wonder — or we succumb to the politics of hate.

To steer clear of our doom we must give birth to brazen new forms, dream up bold new ideas, unleash wild new possibilities. Anything less means getting crushed beneath the weight of the old — everything that has brought us to this do-or-die moment, when humanity teeters on the edge of extinction.

So, whaddya say: Are you ready to have a paradigm-shifting epiphany?

After all, there’s only one alternative to a thousand-year dark age.

It’s called world revolution.
