Celebrating 50 years since Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin landed their “Eagle” command module on the southwestern part of Mare Tranquilitatis: the lunar surface, Magma has asked virtuoso draftsman David Sparshott to produce a selected inventory of survival essentials the intrepid astronauts brought with them to the moon. Rendered in pencil with occasional shades of colour, David Sparshott has not only captured the technical brilliance of this remarkable achievement but also the warmth and nostalgia for which we remember this pioneering leap for all mankind.
12-colour pigment giclée print on 210gsm Soft Textured Art Paper, 520 x 700mm, supplied in a strong black Magma poster tube.
