Small London In The Summer Print By Ryo Takemasa

Wall space can be at a premium in the modern home or office. A number of customers over the years have asked us if we would consider producing our posters at a smaller size.

After a great deal of thought we have produced a selection of our favourite designs in pocket size. Ready to frame with a pre-cut mount they measure 400 x 300 mm overall.

A perfect fit for that awkward space between the bookshelf and um, the other bookshelf.

Ryo Takemasa: London In The Summer

Over the years these Cities in Seasons series of prints by award-winning Japanese illustrator Ryo Takemasa have proved a firm favourite! With his precise, simple yet textured illustrations, Ryo is the heir of a rich tradition of Japanese illustration, from Ryohei Yanagihara onwards.

These are a rare opportunity for enjoying on paper the work of this young master whose illustrations are rarely seen outside Japan (or the web).

A keen traveler, and with a touch of Tintin about his images, he has a unique ability for conjuring a sense of place. It is almost as if the viewer could feel the temperature, the humidity in the air, the smells and the noises (and the occasional silences) in the streets of those cities — a Routemaster looms large as it glides alongside a London park in the Summer, New Yorkers live anonymously inside the bubbles of their cars in the darkening Manhattan winter, the red autumn sun sets over Tokyo.

High quality 12-colour pigment giclée print on 190 gsm soft texture art paper, 315 x 235 mm, supplied with mount, 400 x 300 mm.
