Issue Thirty-two
Have an idea and have the courage to see it through! Whether you see art as a radical act or more of a personal, mindful activity, it’s fair to say that our contributors to this issue aren’t shy of expressing their inner feelings or confronting challenging topics through their printmaking practices. For some makers it’s taking their art into the streets, for others it’s mixing surprising techniques or digging deep to find the hidden truths in their artworks. Their magic mix of mark-making and brave creativity always seems to lead to something much more than just ink on paper.
Some of the scale, ambition and attention to detail is next level too. We hear of collaborative journeys and shared languages, of master printers and edition makers, of delicate designs to epic depictions – every one looking to connect with others through making. If you are a student or a tutor (or both), you’ll know that sharing the creative process with others is a gift and we’re pleased to give space to plenty of these stories of artistic togetherness in our latest edition.
