Index #5

INDEX is a quarterly magazine that looks at contemporary culture through a conscious lens. INDEX focuses on social and cultural themes and how they manifest themselves and affect fashion, art and design.

Founded in 2020 in New Zealand, INDEX is edited by Adam Bryce and art directed by Sara Black. Their team of contributors are dotted around the world, encouraging a truly global look at fashion, art and design.

In issue #5:

What does the future hold? Are we already living in it? INDEX Issue Nº05 holds up a metaphorical looking glass to speculate on tomorrow and beyond.

Inside, INDEX speaks with some of the world’s most forward-thinking creatives including street culture legend Futura, body architect Lucy McRae, fashion designers Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık of GmbH, conceptual artist Olympia Scarry and creative director Anita Fontaine.

Some of the globe's most progressive stylists and photographers serve up fashion-forward editorials, and INDEX looks backwards to look forwards with a deep archival dive into the work of American architect, systems theorist, author, designer, inventor and futurist Buckminster Fuller.

Other features include Space Available, Mark Grattan, New Tendency, Samuele Brianza, Shahar Livne, Afro-futurism by Nu Goteh, Norbert Schoerner. And INDEX hosts a round-table discussion on the future of the worldwide web with Lil Internet, Caroline Busta (New Models), Arthur Röing Baer (Trust), Joanna Pope and Toby Shorin (Other Internet).
