The set of images presented in Diminished Frequencies are a loose documentation of minicab offices in London.
These little offices are disappearing from the urban landscape, another victim of the relentless technological progress that defines our age. While they are often shabby and unkempt, they are also weird and wonderful.
Bolted on to the sides of other buildings as an architectural after thought, plonked down in the middle of the pavement on a high street or tacked on to the end of a pre-existing wall, they are a part of the fabric of the city.
For how long is anyone’s guess.
