This 23rd issue for Summer 2025 features two generations of acclaimed auteurs on the cover: Agnès Varda, the ‘godmother of the French New Wave’, and Gia Coppola, the granddaughter of Hollywood royalty staking claim to a distinctly 21st century style of her own. Inside, Agnès’ daughter Rosalie speaks with Jennifer Higgie about her extraordinary childhood, reflecting on her mother’s life and legacy; Gia reunites with friend and colleague Jamie Lee Curtis to contemplate the complexities of motherhood, following the premiere of The Last Showgirl; plus, multi-award winning Australian director Shannon Murphy sits down with Michelle Williams to discuss the ‘special connection between single mothers and their daughters’.
