THIIIRD is a new biannual print publication celebrating: Intersectionality, Cultural Heritage & Diversity in fashion, arts and society.

Essentially concerned with identity politics and diversity, the magazine is split into three sections: Mind, Body and Soul. Within these sections, THIIIRD offers a range of informative interviews, fashion editorials, and personal essays presenting critical explorations and transformative ways of understanding.

#7 DIS/COMFORT

What defines comfort? Is it the warmth of security, the ease of familiarity? And what about discomfort—does it only bring tension, challenge, and unease? In the Dis/comfort issue, we unravel the complex dance between these opposing forces, exploring how they shape our emotional landscapes and lived experiences.

From grief and trauma to celebration and healing, we investigate how comfort and discomfort coexist, with often blurred lines between them. Through themes of space, body, and identity, we question how these states influence our understanding of autonomy, the uncanny, and our place in the world. Join us as we navigate the delicate balance of finding solace in discomfort and growth in ease.
