Issue #3 - 'Exploring the transformations sweeping our world'

Noēma's third issue, themed 'Rupture', is a dense and urgent response to 'the convergence of several breakpoints at once' — an apt metaphor for challenges facing the world today.  Intelligently written and lushly illustrated, with a focus on art, culture, society, technology and philosophy, some particularly intriguing stories from this issue explore the reemergence of the 'civilization state', insect consciousness, political ecology in communist China and 'how Black America fell out of love with Africa.' Lots to ponder (and act) on.
