Marfa #26

Marfa is a printed publication inspired by Marfa, Texas and created by artists for artists. A capital of cultural disorder, Marfa, Texas is a small town of just over 2,000 people located in the middle of a desert not far from the Mexican border, and a place that has attracted the attention of the art world since the ‘60s. Marfamily is a platform that connects contemporary high end fashion and art.

Marfa #26

An energetic issue overflowing with words and pictures on music, arts and culture. Long-time friends John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan reunite, artist and musician Klein is interviewed by actress Taylor Russell, who herself is then interviewed by writer and theatre critic Hilton Als. Later we get our daily intake of art from the elusive Steven Shearer, as well as Nate Lowman, who chats with the Louvre’s Donatien Grau – pretty good heavy hitters from us.

In MARFA #26, pioneering musician Wally Badarou pops over to London to meet us too, the remarkable career of figure skating icon Surya Bonaly is revisited and artist Clémence de La Tour du Pin introduces us to her bearded dragon. Along the way, we have a quick catch up with actor Herbert Nordrum in Brixton, make a pit stop in Paris with pro-skater and model Georgia Martin and finish off with a day of beauty at Barnes Fair and farmer’s market, joined by Karolina Spakowski.

Contributors this issue include Angela Hill, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Esther Theaker, Jody Rogac, Tamara Rothstein, Olimpia Taliani de Marchio, Linda Engelhardt, Alexandra Gordienko, Isabelle Sayer, Jess Cole, Rachel Halickman, Felix Petty, Julia Monsell, Ross Aston, Cristina Stolhe, Alice Neale, Colin Dodgson, Taylor Thoroski, Rachel Chandler and more talented individuals.
