LUNCHEON #21

LUNCHEON is an independent cultural magazine mixing art, fashion and food. Free spirited in its content this biannual magazine offers readers a generous feast for the eyes and the mind.

The essence of conversations over lunch is at its core and each issue is constructed as if a menu.

Over the lunch table, the magazine brings together different generations who share opinions, stories and memories, offering us an insight into their unique cultural contributions.

LUNCHEON No. 21 — Spring-Summer 2026
The twenty-first issue of Luncheon arrives in its characteristic spirit of cultural abundance — part fashion document, part literary journal, part archive, entirely itself.

Inside, paintings by Marc Springhetti thread through the pages, and Paolo Roversi lenses two separate fashion stories — a collaboration with Paolo Carzana's 'The Last Pangolin on Earth' collection, and Comme des Garçons' Spring-Summer 2026.

This issue moves fluidly between modes: Prunella Clough and Doris Lessing are both photographed by Snowdon; Jerskin Fendrix appears in an otherworldly shoot styled and directed by Shona Heath; and Beuford Smith's community photography is celebrated alongside archival work on Paul Thek's 'Fishman'. There are conversations with Isabella Ducrot, Nate Lippens, Troy Chatterton, and Emma Paterson — writers, artists, and thinkers whose work resists easy categorisation.

Food, land, and labour are present too: a harvest supper with winemaker Christian Tschida, the ESEA Community Centre cooking for ninety, and a Japanese noyaki field-burning captured by Robbie Lawrence.

Funny, strange, and generous — issue 21 is another full sitting from a magazine that takes culture seriously without ever taking itself too seriously.
