LE MILE #41

LE MILE is dedicated to exploring the ever-changing landscape of fashion photography, art, design, and creativity. We seek to explore the ways in which the rich tapestry of aesthetics can inform, inspire, and challenge our understanding of the world. Explore with us the boundaries of beauty, artistry, and expression through the lens of modern aesthetics.

LE MILE - Issue 41

Franki Domino creates images that resemble memories without a real past. Carlo Morrone reworks found fragments until their original histories become secondary. At the Vitra Design Museum, Geoffrey Bawa’s architecture is reconsidered through buildings shaped by climate, landscape and use, while Russell Young returns to Marilyn Monroe as an image transformed by decades of reproduction.

Lauren Greenfield looks at a generation whose lives are constantly photographed and resurfaced online. Lead Pencil Studio creates spaces that feel strangely known, while Alex Da Corte turns to jamais vu, when the familiar suddenly appears foreign. Corentin Fila reflects on the point at which acting begins to overlap with lived experience, and Audrey Nuna on the references that continue to return through her music and fashion. Kennedy Yanko, Santiago Sierra and Levi van Gelder approach repetition through material, image and trace.
