3x3 is the first publication devoted entirely to the art of contemporary illustration. Published in the United States and distributed worldwide, the sole interest is in sharing what’s shaping international illustration.
Starting off 2024 with a bang, issue #35 features three distinctive artists, two with obvious, though albeit roots in the past—one channeling Matisse, the other Léger while the third represents hardcore conceptual illustration at its best.
The colors red, blue and green are evident throughout the magazine, followed by pinks, yellows and oranges. The color wheel never looked so good. Whether hand-drawn or digital or watercolor, the remarkable differences between the graphic solutions is both powerful and welcoming.
