Which vegetables can I use?
Bulk salad greens and greens in plastic clamshells actually get crisper when rinsed and stored in a vejibag! It also works great for: Artichokes, Asparagas, Arugula, Beets, Beet greens, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Celeriac,Chard,Collards,Cucumber, Eggplant, Fennel,Green beans, Kale, Lettuce, Leeks, Parsnips, Peas, Peppers (don’t wash, just put in damp bag), Radishes, Rhubarb, Spinach, Scallions, Turnips, Zucchini
What about herbs?
Fresh herbs are happiest when placed directly in the damp bag, without rinsing. You can wash fresh herbs as you use them. Vejibag works great for: Basil, Chives, Cilantro, Parsley, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme.
Care
Vejibags are machine washable and Dryable
Turn Vejibags inside out and launder with fragrance free detergent. Hang in the sun to dry or machine dry, expect 10% shrinkage the first time as this is a 100% cotton bag!
If your bag gets stained you can safely remove most stains with an oxygen bleach or make your own environmentally friendly stain remover solution with 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 2 Tablespoons of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda. Add enough hot water to the hydrogen peroxide/washing soda solution to cover bag and let sit 24 hours.
