Japanese illustrator Toshiyuki Fukuda teamed up with art and design team Tupera Tupera to produce this book of simple, Russian-themed postcards. Fukuda is a Tokyo-based illustrator who specialises in quirky prints which often feature animal motifs. His illustrations have an inherently childish quality, and his small realms, full of colour and detail, are in a way intrinsically nostalgic. Tupera Tupera, also based in Tokyo, comprises the artists Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa, who have been working together since 2002. The pair is known for its humorous, colourful, and highly original picture books and illustrations, and also engages in a wide variety of creative fields.
