Port Angeles a year on film

A collection of 35mm photos taken over the course of a year, from December 2016 to January 2018, while Seattle-born photographer and filmmaker Nick Thompson lived in Port Angeles, WA. Shot entirely in Port Angeles and the surrounding forests, mountains, and beaches of Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Book concept and design also by Nick Thompson.

Nick Thompson is a filmmaker and photographer born and raised in Seattle, WA. All his photos are on 35mm film. His work has been featured in Blended Volume I, Berlin's Die Angst Magazine, and has shown at Studio Bob in Port Angeles and Oddville Gallery in Los Angeles. Nick's film projects include the series Douglas Fern's Fact File, a docu-satire of Seattle's history and rapidly changing cultural landscape, which screened at Northwest Film Forum and was an official selection in Local Sightings Film Festival and Seattle Web Fest. Nick is currently making an experimental horror film set in the Skagit Valley. His work can be seen and purchased on his website, nicktfilms.me.
