Oh Comely #45

Oh Comely is a culture and lifestyle magazine based in the British isles.

Oh Comely is a curious, honest and playful independent magazine. It’s a place to meet strangers, hear their stories and look at life differently – where our readers are our writers and our models, too.

Each issue they pick a theme and see where it takes them.... try something old, something new and something that scares us a bit. Then they present our findings in a beautiful, art-book style, putting new writing, photography and illustration talent at the heart of it.

They believe good things come in threes and began as the bedroom project of three pals at university and they’re now produced by a small publishing house started by another set of three friends.

Issue 45 - Dreams

Have you ever woken up from a dream so vivid you’re convinced it’s real? This issue has been inspired by dreams, both the ones that happen while we sleep and the ones we control – our aspirations for the future.

Activist Nimco Ali is campaigning for a world that respects the rights of young girls. Performer Soma Ghosh wants us to shed our feminist guilt and embrace our sexuality, as she investigates whether porn can ever, really, be feminist. And Alex Merry conjures up surreal, magical creatures from her kitchen table.

Elsewhere, we spend a day chilling in our PJs, Charly Cox writes us a poem for the changing seasons and Mahalia sings us some sassy-sweet soul. Come join us.

Couldn’t be a better model to cover “The Love Issue” than Baptiste Radufe in Dior Homme.
