Since the 1940s, MoMA has produced an annual line of holiday cards designed by emerging and established artists, some of whom are featured in the Museum’s collection. The MoMA Holiday Card Program has featured such well-known artists as Robert Indiana, Andy Warhol, Sister Mary Corita and Alexander Calder.
The selection process, which has changed very little since the early days of the program, begins with an open call for submissions and continues through a thorough evaluation of each design, resulting in an assortment of cards that embody MoMA’s criteria for good design while embracing the spirit of the holiday season.
All of our cards are created by renowned paper engineers and designers from all over the world. These 3D cards are more like objects than simple greeting cards.
