Exhibist is one of the first independent, non-profit English-language magazines focusing on contemporary art from Turkey and has an international distribution in more than 20 locations across Europe and America. It has also become one of the most popular art magazines in Istanbul.
Every issue of the magazine, printed quarterly, includes two extensive features of upcoming Turkish artists or analytical essays, overviews of established artists from Turkey, as well as sections providing information on Galleries featuring Turkish Contemporary Art and related exhibitions and events.
Issue 10 has a special focus on Architecture & Design from Turkey.
The magazine features interviews with Beatriz Colomina & Mark Wigley, curators of the 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial, Zehra Uçar, founding director of Zehra Uçar Architecture and Design.
An essay by Gökhan Karakuş titled 'The Conceptual Basis of Contemporary Design In Turkey' and Jussi Parikka's 'The Anthrobscene: Deep Time Designs.'
The magazine introduces influential architects and designers from Turkey such as Nevzat Sayın, Emre Arolat, Han Tümertekin, Aziz Sarıyer, Bülent Erkmen and Adnan Serbest.
