Astrophe is expanding what we see as the limited representation of inclusivity within the print and digital media landscape.
We value our inclusive approach to accepting submissions from both emerging and established artists, as well as providing opportunity for commissioned editorial work with the Astrophe team. We present our contributors with broad and timeless themes to allow for exploration and expansion of traditional ideas of genre. Astrophe is a platform of cultivated and curated space for our artists to freely and safely express and celebrate their points of view.
Readers can expect meaningful storytelling and a rich and bold aesthetic. With 98% of our contributors and featured artists being women, BIPOC & LGBTQIA+. Astrophe is a celebration of beauty, talent, and creativity in every shape, colour, gender, and sexuality. We believe in the beauty of diversity and want our featured artists’ work, stories, and images to empower and inspire you.
About Issue #5 - LIGHT.
As a new labyrinth of light sources blazes before us we seek multidisciplinary and diverse approaches to creative work. We bend light around new corners to shatter and refract from what we knew. A fluid, genre-less range of works has populated creative space.
So Astrophe asks, what if we are our own light switches?
