Widows actress Cynthia Erivo and Crazy Rich Asians star Sonoya Mizuno, photographed by Roe Ethridge, and models Anok Yai and Hyunji Shin, photographed by Chris Maggio, are the cover stars for CR Fashion Book Issue 14. In addition to the four covers, two limited copies featuring Ashley Graham and Yai celebrates the 60th birthday of Barbie in CR's first ever collector's edition.
In the 14th issue themed around Yes or No, as well as the drastic polarization of opinions in popular culture and fashion, Carine asked friends and fashion luminaries—including Kanye West, Kate Moss, and Lena Dunham—to contribute a quote on something from which provokes a strong reaction, either positive or negative. With this new issue, Carine also announces the next new guard of creatives who will help give the publication a fresh perspective: “I created just one feature and entrusted most of the styling to an incredibly talented group of young fashion editors who, along with a new roster of photographers, created a new vision of CR that is modern, energetic, and a reflection of the times. I hope this issue will leave readers feeling completely surprised and excited for the magazine’s new era."
Elsewhere inside CR Fashion Book Issue 14, Mizuno speaks about her upcoming role in Ex Machina director Alex Garland's Devs and how she almost quit acting for good before landing Crazy Rich Asians. Rising star Erivo converses with Master of None's Lena Waithe about grappling with fame and the characters to whom she's most drawn. Bella Thorne also gets candid about her social media empire and becoming a mogul.
Meanwhile, the limited-edition covers commemorating Barbie's diamond birthday features several of Carine's favorite models including Graham, Yai, Halima Aden, Paloma Elsesser, and Hannah Ferguson, in order to capture the diversity and inclusivity of 21st century Barbie.
